With our In-Home Interior Design service, you can be creative in choosing the design level input your would like, and the way you want to work with the designer. We are very flexible about the scope of design work involved in your project. or hire us on a flat fee, where we would be happy to come up with a complete design proposal, as well as be involved with full project management for you. You benefit by saving your precious time, being stress-free and avoiding any unwanted mistakes during the process, as well as bringing a professional touch. We work sympathetically towards your budget by ensuring you get the best price, without compensating on your project, or our services.

what does in-home interior design involve?

We meet up for a free initial consultation and informal chat where we talk through your ideas, preferences, styles and requirements. We see the space and discuss any specific needs, your budget and time-scale. If you are happy at this stage and if you think we could create a special interior for your child, Cotton Moon Design will develop a design scheme fo you. After our meeting, we'll prepare and send you a detailed proposal, along with a tailored design fee quotation, based on the scope of work we intend to undertake.

Following our initial meeting and proposal, if you are happy and you decide to go ahead, our interior designer will prepare preliminary plans and design suggestions by presenting colour scheme with samples and furnishings. We base these upon your child's specific requirements, and the budget of the project. We will then discuss our ideas with you and your child and take account of your opinion. This is the foundation of the project.

At this stage, our designer will come up with the final proposal by presenting you with a visual sample board. This shows images of your products and a finalised colour scheme, as well as samples where required. It also details floor plans, with furniture layout, and a basic specification of all proposed furniture and fittings. You will have a clear vision of the project idea. From here, you might want us to implement the design proposal and manage your project completely, or you might want to appoint your own contractors, order furniture and complete the project on your own initiative.

If you decide by this stage you want to go ahead and appoint us to manage your project, and after we receive your final design approval, the designer draws up a full estimate project figure and presents you with a detailed item specification, including the required product quantities.

Here, we place orders, source the right materials, liaise with suppliers, coordinate contractors, organise and oversee delivery schedules and installation. We always ensure as smooth a process as possible for you.

Nearing the end of your design's fruition, we add final touches to reach your scheme's full potential, and ensure that you are perfectly satisfied with the result. Voila, you can enjoy your new and inspiring creation!
